DOMINION DAY CLASSIC

While DOM DAY is built on a legacy of traditions, one of the tournament's strongest is that of giving back.

 

Spurred from a modest beginning in 1994 the DOM DAY Family has built a pledge to fund The Hospital for Sick Kids in Toronto to the best of our ability so all kids can have a fighting chance.

What started as a donation of left over funds from the tournament quickly grew, as amounts donated increased exponentially year after year. After years of commitment the Hospital recognized the Dominion Day Classic on their Donor Wall as official PARTNERS after surpassing the $50K donation threshold in 2010.

Thanks to the generosity of our players, fans and the extended DDC Community the giving didn't stop there.

 

Just in time for DOM DAY 40 in 2017, just 7 years after surpassing the last milestone the tournament hit the $100K raised threshold. Once again the tournament was recognized by the Foundation as the Dominion Day Classic moved up the Sick Kids Donor Wall to the PATRON level.

But ​we have not stopped there, with our commitment to charity reaching new heights in 2024 after when we surprassed $200K raised! With a anonymous donation to the NICU helping us hit this great milestone.​

SickKids relies on groups like us. Together we can leave the ultimate legacy in the name of the Dominion Day Classic.
