Immediately following the Menn Cup will be the traditional Shoot the S$%# Night at the Penalty Box Grill at the rink where all Domday fans get a chance to interact and set the stage for the weekend !
The Menn Cup and Shoot the $^*% is the official kickoff event for the weekend of Dominion Day Classic festivities.
Originating In 1986, the Menn Cup saw the Ten Men face-off against the X-Men in a match that pit the Ten Men winter hockey team vs. a team of all other challengers.
In 1991, the format evolved as the alumni from West Humber C.I. took on the Thistletown C.I. alumni squad, with an open draft of players who were not fortunate enough to attend either school.
In 2002, the format was changed to accommodate players from any high school affiliation and the Dickers and the Dumpkes faced off annually in the quest for the Cup until 2005 when play was suspended until further notice.
After a brief hiatus the Menn Cup returned in 2012 just in time for Dom Day 35. The new format saw a clash of the generations with the Dinos versus the Yutes. In stunning the fashion the Dinos upset the Yutes to secure the 7-5 victory in the events return. The Dinos continued their relevance until the Yutes broke through in resounding fashion in 2014.
By 2016 the speed and tenacity of the Yutes caught up with the Dinos and the format returned to an open draft format ever since.
